SpaceShipOne and the Ansari X-Prize

While the recent launch of the space shuttle Discovery marks NASA’s temporary return to manned space flight, private enterprise is not far behind. The world altitude record was broken last year by Burt Rutan and SpaceShipOne, claiming the Ansari X-Prize. On this program, the pilot, Brian Binnie, discussed breaking the world altitude record.
Who needs a ship to get high? 😉
