New iMacs and iPods

Steve Jobs introduced Apple’s new iMacs today which includes an iSight camera embedded in the bezel. For most creatures, having one eye is freaky but the camera is nicely integrated into the computer. Steve also showed us Photobooth for taking mugshots on the iMac and another feature called Front Row to switch your computer into media center for the living room. It even comes with an infrared remote so you don’t have to leave the couch!

iPods now play video, contrary to earlier assertions from Steve that no one wants to see a movie on a tiny screen.

The event ended with a performance by Grammy Award winner Wynton Marsalis.
